About Us

We are an Aboriginal controlled not-for-profit organisation.

We want remote Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander entrepreneurs to be empowered to determine their own futures and effect generational change for the communities.

To achieve this vision, we offer tailored on-Country business support to remote entrepreneurs through our incubation and mentoring programs. And we meaningfully collaborate with our sector peers and partners.

We believe that entrepreneurship can change the world.

Our Team.

Our team is led by our Executive Director, Yolngu business leader Liandra Gaykamaŋu and our CEO, award-winning social entrepreneur Alexie Seller.

Our History.

Ours is a story of two halves. In 2010, ELP was founded to support remote Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander entrepreneurs to develop and launch their businesses.

In 2020, ELP welcomed a whole new team and a new vision for our next decade and beyond. This process included a leadership transition – we welcomed a wholly Indigenous board and our first Aboriginal co-CEO.

We have a bold strategy for our future.

100% Indigenous controlled. Board gender parity. Female leadership. Aboriginal leadership.

Experienced entrepreneurs and mentors. Social enterprise disruptors. Proactive network collaborators. Cross-cultural communicators.

Our Programs.

We support remote entrepreneurs through our incubation and mentoring programs.

Applications for both programs are permanently open and include at least six months of tailored business support.

“In business, of course you’ve got to make money… but it’s never a driving factor. It’s ‘how is this going to create opportunity and change for community?’”
